PLAY students worked with different musicians throughout the semester, learning the basics of music theory, instrumentation, and performance. Mentors taught students to actively communicate in their bands to improve their playing in service of a better performance. By learning an instrument, students improve their creativity, memorization skills, and relieving stress.
