LIGHT PAINTING
Painting With Our Bright Members
Out of all the creative photography students practiced; none shined brighter than our light painting! Our members used camera work to take portraits of them and their friends, but our artistic talent doesn't stop there. Members reflected light to create patterns and imitate someone doodling on the picture. Light painting in this instance was used to express personality and to make dim light photographs lively.
Light painting isn't just an artistic pastime; its also a tool to teach kids a curriculum of science and technology. Before clicking away with their cameras, members were taught the different ways light reflects and adapts to its environment. Additionally, they learned how Digital SLR cameras absorb light and the value of lighting in photography. The knowledge was applied to create artistic expression.
